Below ground level!
Paris! Before 14.00 hrs today I visited several new airports around the world, now at 14.45 hrs new airports such as Berlin, Paris, Saltsburg etc have the above result! Previously visited airports are fine, this affects the stock FG Cessna 172 also. WTF ! TerraSync problem perhaps?

Terrasync has not terrasunk ( sunk, get it ), the terrain for you.
Further to my previous post, have given up with gaming laptop and tried desktop pc, no luck. Completely uninstalled/reinstalled flight Gear, no joy, Network checked and no issues my side.
Does anyone have any constructive advice on this issue?

Hi @Actor - that happens occasionally. It might be a wider internet issue or it could just be the FG servers playing up.
Last week I couldn't get any scenery at all. Don't feel too frustrated by it, although Stuart claimed I gave him a headache from leaving it too long before I got my scenery last week, when I was having the same problem.
If you're ever unsure as to what's going on with the scenery and getting the water, then go into the File menu, click Scenery download and see if it's
1) Enabled (tickbox in the "Enable automatic scenery download" box)
2) Doing anything
You should see those zeroes changing if it's downloading.
Something to note with the way that FlightGear does it's scenery downloads is that it will connect to one of the servers when starting up and then stick with it even if it's not working.
Restarting FlightGear will (should) force it to chose another one.
So if you get this issue with the scenery download being stupid a lot then just restart FG a few times, if it's still not playing ball then it's probably just fucked for a while.
Give it 2 hours and then try again - or post on here and see if anyone else can replicate the issue.
It's almost certainly not an issue with your machine - it'll be that Free Open Source software providing us with the service only FOSS can give!
