Aero Commander 500 - Version 1.5 available

Version 1.5 of the Aero Commander is now available:

It has an all new FDM, a result of Stuart's hard work which gives almost exact real world performance and you can fly it perfectly by the numbers from take off through cruise and to landing. Check the help menu for details.

The cockpit has also had some upgrades and the code used in some of the systems optimised for better performance than previous versions.

We'll give it a bit of a test and if there's no major bugs release it to the outside world after the weekend.

After many years of development trials and tribulations, we are very pleased to announce the release of the Multiplayer (and AI) HMS Ark Royal (R09)

This archive contains both Multiplayer ( others can land on it ) and a stand alone AI version of the ship. The AI version is equipped with Weather responsive wave motion and is positioned in the Solent at 10kts and heading 150 - it'll be visible on your in game map but the closest airport is Lee on Solent.

Blackburn (HS) Buccaneer S2B

After years and years of work including much effort from Stuart, Gary, Eagle and many others I am pleased to present the first version of the Blackburn Buccaneer.

I'm sure it'll have some issues in this initial version but it's a very complex simulation with:

Detailed cockpit
Fuel system with correct tanks, crossflow valves and pressurisation
blower system
Aileron droop
animations including bomb bay and tailhook
Various liveries

Enjoy it, let us know some feedback and I'm sure it'll continue to be improved in the coming years.

Our Phantom FG.1 has just been released and it's got some great features, including a brand new custom radar for FGUK designed to make flight nights easier.

Tailhook animations, air to air refuelling probe and capability as well as wing fold and a cracking 3D cockpit.

To "lock on" to a flight leader there's a menu option under FG.1 in the menu bar that will let you select the target - or let it select the nearest aircraft to you automatically.

Further FDM refinement

Bug fix - The HDR panel lighting may have caused some visual weirdness on FG versions that do not have HDR.

Bug fix - Changes made for multiplayer so the Helicopter should not just appear as a flying cockpit over Multiplayer.

This version completely seprates the FGUK versions from the Standard versions. Previously, you may or may not actually get the FGUK version loading up. Now you will if you choose the FGUK version.

If you install this one, or the original EC130 in separate custom aircraft directories, they should co exist quite happily.

Removed the need for a number of manual starts before the Auto start function is enabled.

P.S. Don't forget to put fuel in it for the first time.

Hi All,

Not really a release, but something for you to enjoy that's been fettled slightly.

There were some errors which caused the EF2000 to be unusable on some FG setups, which, I hope, have now been cured, meaning this pre-alpha aircraft is a bit more reliable.

It still has quite a way to go, there's bits of aeroplane missing, some textures aren't quite correctly mapped and some things move/don't move when they should, so please take it in the spirit it's intended.

Perfectly enjoyable for a blast around and flight night shenanigans, though.

Finished Ole Glory, P47 bubble top textures for USAAF VE Day, I have included birdsong file which plays cool tune on canopy open/close. Tested and works on P51 only, which is a shame it was intended for P47, however P47 does not have birdsong wav and I simply cant figure out how to do this! Real shame as it would really enhance this aircraft.

RELEASE NOTES.

V1.0HDR

This is a modification of the existing FlightGear R44.

The files are set up to allow this to instal to the same folder as the existing R44 if you already have it. You will be prompted to overwrite some files, but this is ok as the files have been altered to work with both versions. If you decide to install the other R44 after this one, then do not overwrite any files.

Changes over the original R44:-

Only the Base R44 is included, not the Clipper.

FDM has been altered to provide a more realistic feel.

Interior textures have been changed.

Basic HDR compatibility.

Uses only the higher res paints from the R44.

V3 Autopilot fitted ( read the in sim help before use !! ).

Alterations to the sound pack.

FGUK external lighting pack.
