FlightNight Aug. 27 - Tearing Up Kamchatka!
We'll meet at 8 pm London time at ICAO: UHPL - Palana Airport in Koryak Okrug, Russia. Please bring a fast jet capable of 180 KIAS from 750' AGL to approx. 10K' for an hours duration. There will be copious amounts of chase over severe terrain so pick something nimble and that might do well with terrain following from the FGUK Hangars as there will be plenty of that as well. After Flight Brief we will part to the East and then turn South along the Sredinny Mountain Range in Central Kamchatka and land at ICAO: UHP1 - Lenino as our midpoint and refresh destination.
After refresh we will depart to The East before turning South to the near southern border of The Peninsula and then follow Northeast tack and play chase to land at UHPP - Elizovo Airport as our final destination. This is tenuous - please gather scenery for the entire Kamchatka Peninsula and airports: UHPL, UHPK, UHPY, UHPK, UHPO, and UHP1 as we may land at any of these depending on the extract nature of chase and observe.

Lots of fabulous terrain with amply opportunities to do low level chase so practice up. choose your mount, and be ready to tear up Kamchatka!

Ahhhh...the Old Iron Pig. Rock on , Porcius. Rock on! Hopefully it'll still startup. Thanks for the heads up - this way you won't be a "phantom". I do love a good Smoke Show. Or the F-111 was also referred to as "The Pig." You got lots of choices in the Pig Dept.

Regarding the orthos - I seem to have managed to get Kamchatka (1.6Gb) + 150_50 (2.3Gb) & 160_50 (2.3Gb).
I have unzipped Kamchatka - do I need to do the other 2 ?
