FlightNight Sept. 21 - Peruvian Chopper Tour of Volcanos and Lake Titicaca!
We'll meet at 8 pm London time at ICAO: Rodriguez Ballon Airport in Peru. Please bring the chopper of your choice from the FGUK Hangars that can attain/sustain 19,000' for an hours duration and climb at 1000' FPM. After observing several volcano's including Volcano Misti, Chachani volcano, and Volcán Chingana, we will depart South to ICAO: SPEQ - Cesar Torke Podesta Airport in Moquegua, Peru, as our midpoint refresh and refuel destination.
We will not be following the Flight Plan exactly at first - it is for scenery gathering only.
After refresh we will depart to the Northeast over significant terrain to land at ICAO: SLCC - Copacabana Airport on Lake Titicaca, Bolivia, as our final destination. Gratuitous site seeing is highly encouraged! Comms on TeamSpeak as always.
And the winds are scary crazy atop the volcanos so do be advised and good luck!

Loads of volcanoes down there - though not active in FlightGear. Tempting to make them so.

...and, *OH YEAH* the final destination airport is stuffed into the side of high ground with only one way in/out in FlightGear so be prepared to get creative when we get there.

With terrasync its a case of restarting FG until it pics up one of the functioning terrasync servers

I’m hoping to be flying. I plan to bring either one of the MD500s or the BO105 or the AH7. I might stick with the 500D or the AH7.

Warty, I flew the route last night and never picked up any active volcanoes....I installed into my custom scenery folder in objects, correct?

It's designed to work from the launcher
Put the volcanoes_Peru folder wherever you want and use the Add-ons -> Add button to tell it where you put it. It already has an objects folder inside it, so probably won't work from your description
