FlightNight Oct 19th - High Sierras Bolivia to seaside Peru

The flight starts in Potosí, Bolivia. It is one of the highest cities in the world at a height of 4,090 m (13,420 ft). Nearby Cerro Rico de Potosí is the world's largest silver deposit and has been mined since the sixteenth century. Famous people formerly in the Bolivian mining business include Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - though they worked around 200km south of here.

We'll meet at 8 pm London Time at ICAO: SLPO - Captain Nicolas Rojas Airport (runway 24). Bring the aircraft of your choice from the FGUK Hangar that is happy between 300-400 KIAS at altitudes of up to 19,000' for a one hour duration. It is a very lumpy route with some twisty-turny bits - particularly in the second half. No need to worry if your chosen ride doesn't have a good autopilot as you probably won't get the chance to use it much, apart from airspeed-hold.

Mid-point break will be at Copacabana (SLCC). It has a 6,994 ft runway and has an awkwardly-modelled approach in FlightGear. From there we'll do some hill-hopping and volcano-spotting till we find the Rio Tambo that we'll follow down to the ocean. The flight will end at Mollendo (SPDO).

Comms on TeamSpeak as always.

Here is a file for scenery gathering purposes. It might also help to have it loaded in case you get lost.

And here is an add-on scenery for the volcanoes

It's the same as Voodoo's volcano trip if you already have it loaded.
