FlightNight-Saturday 18th April-Voodoo's Marauders Take The Hump!

We will meet on Saturday 18th April, taking off promptly at 20.00hrs GMT.

Voodoo's B-26B is not only a beautifully crafted aircraft, it has an auto pilot which will reduce climb rate to prevent a stall, the P38 for example, stalled and killed me gory!

Not taking the B26? Practicing the the first half and choosing wisely from the FGUK/da Vinci Warbird hangars, is recommended.

Take off from VEMN, Runway 5, Dibrugarh Airfield, Assam in India,

We will climb to 18,000 ft Barometric (in 2 stages) and cross the Hengduan Mountains within the Santsung Range of the Himalayas, cruising at a sedate 150 knots.

Our Midway point is, VYPT Putao, Myanmar (Burma). An emergency airfield, also home to a British Garrison at Fort Hertz.

Runway 17 for take off, after 10min break/refuel.

Not having time to reach Kunming in China, the usual destination for Hump aircraft, we wil stooge about, at 17.000ft Barometric at 150 knots heading for our end point.

ZPLJ Lijiang, China.

Used by the American Volunteer Group "Flying Tigers", the 14th Air Force, and Air Transport Command (the "Hump" pilots).

COMM's via push to talk, Teamspeak.

I believe I have fixed problems with my Teamspeak, if the issues are not fixed, would someone take the flight?

I will send them Leaders flight notes with loads of info about "flying the hump" before flight night, in the event I have no voice COMM's.
