There was another video of this story where it mentioned having to press a button to dis-engage reheat... in case you watch it, this is nonsense. In this video they show some archive footage of the undercarriage button being pressed when these words are spoken... One of those things that will become urban legend. Over the years I'd heard this story passed down by word of mouth, saying the "pilot" was sitting on a wooden box as no seat was fitted.. don't know if this part was true or Chinese whispers.
In reality the throttles are pulled back to 100% dry power and they flop to the side to come out of reheat. Can you imagine a design that locks you into reheat and you have to actively ask it to stop?! If he was stuch in reheat, there must have been a mechanical jam-up of some sort.
There is however one button / lever to take No.2 engine out of fast idle (useful for keeping the generator & alternator online), and a further button holding the throttles at slow idle, press it to pull the throttles all the way back to shut down.
