FlightNight Saturday 17th September - pole prancing
Hi All,
We've been contracted to carry out some electrical pylon inspections around the highlands of Scotland this week. The flying will be low and steady to ensure all the checks are completed satisfactorily.
We will start at Inverness - EGPE, and head down South West along river until we meet the first power lines then make our way down to the half way point - not many landmarks around unfortunately.
Broadford - XBRO is where we have our half time break then we head back for some more flying about, checking pylons and back along Loch Ness to Inverness.
Choice should be some sort of Civil spec chopper that can maintain about 90kts at low level.
Lots of fun, frolicks and probably crashes to be had. See you there at 2000 UK time!

Who's Flight Leader for September 24th?

no one yet
The reason of me mentioning 'Gary - Indiana' [repeatedly, I know] is the fact that there, by the runway WSW side in Gary, is a "Secret Missile Silo" that was part of the US defence force if Russia went Nuclear.

If you are not scared by the idea of following a manually flying chopper pilot, I can take it. Got to be a bit of an adventure ...
