7th January. Its a bit Salty
Ok, first Flightnight of 2023.
We will gather at Salt Lake City International Airport KSLC at 8pm UK time as usual.
This will be a Helicopter flight mainly, but as its the first flight, you can bring a GA Aircraft that can fly within the parameters of the flight.
From KSLC we will be heading North to complete a counter clockwise tour of the Great Salt Lake. There are no Airports to land at for half time, but the Choppers will choose a flat area to stop to refresh/refuel etc.
Flight speed is expected to run between 90-110kts Indicated so pretty much any helicopter will do. If you choose a fixed wing flying plank, make sure it can fly within the limits.
We will be flying in live weather, so be prepared for some rough conditions if thats the way it is on the night.
We Might make a full lap of the lake, we might not or we may make it with time to spare in which case we will then go south to Utah lake. It all depends on a lot of things.
Coms will be using TS as usual. No Voice activation please. Set a PTT button/key

If you go to the West side of the lake there's some quite amusing location names that I think almost certainly had something to do with Stuart's choice here.
