FlightNight 18th Feb. Send them to the Coola !
We shall meet at CYBD, Bella Coola at 8pm. This is our oprational base for the entire flight.
This will require you to be proficient with a Helicopter with Skids, NOT Wheels.
We are assisting in resupply to remote cabins in the local area. This will involve carrying out landings like this:-
There will be custom scenery by the weekend. As you can see, the Locals have cobbled together landing pads for us to use. Now you can see why you need Skids and not wheels.
Our operational area is indicated in red:-
Now for the Extra Crunch. You crash, you are not permitted to instantly respawn. Most our choppers have a SAR recovery script fitted. You will use this to request assistance from one of your fellow pilots who will come and lift your chopper back to base, at which point you can respawn. If He/She also crashes, same rule applies.
To recover someone once they request your assistance, you need to hover over the crash site and descend until the connection is made ( requires coordination between the pilots ).
The crashed chopper can then be lifted back to base.
If your chosen chopper does not have it, its very simple to add it. Here is a zip with the nasal and instructions to add it to any chopper:-

Whats the radius of operation from CYBD?
using 50nm to gather PS to see the file size, can increase if required and or the gethered download is not giganic
Looking at the scale rule on the bottom of the map I posted, it looks about 60-70
This a 50nm centred on CYBD, see if it covers the area required.

Orhtos cover plenty to give a descent play area.
thanks.
And here it is. The Scenery pack.
There are 6 pads scattered around the local area. Each has been given an ICAO code to help you navigate to them. You can see the coads once you are in sim, go to your Location tab on the F10 menu, and search for airports. Tick the Helipad box and Under 100 miles and you can see the codes.

Make the bellacoola folder a custom scenery folder. If the above mentioned codes are available, then the folder is being detected by FG.
I would suggest not having dense vegetation/trees set in this area, as it is Very densely populated and you may kill your FPS.
Here are some screenshots of what you are looking for.
All the ICAO codes for the pads are BCH00 to BCH05
Get practicing and good luck.
look what I found :)
You found your house !
Flash's "Secret Lair"....ya gotta wonder what goes on there, eh?
VooDoo
At the moment it's on fire...I crashed into it ;)
Lol...So is Voodoo's View. I can't land on these yet but I have time to practice a bit I guess.
VooDoo
The whole idea is to expand your skill set.
Im fairly sure there will be many many deaths on landing attempts and just as many on recovery operations too.
Sounds like a challenge .. I'm in :D
Oly - there is nothing on the end of your link. Is it being updated ?
Really challenging, what a nice idea.
I though so. ;)
