FlightNight May 20th - GA Galavant
Alright you bunch of FGUKers
This weekend at 8pm UK time we shall be meeting at Norwich airport EGSH
We will then be flying North East East to the coast and along some nice scenery. Taking in what seems to be some new terrasync objects, or at least things we've not noticed before.
Our half time break will be at Southend airport: EGMC
After a little refreshment we'll enjoy the sights further south as we cross the channel and head for Dunkirque (LFAK) for our final destination.
For this flight I invite you all to bring your favourite piston powered fixed wing aircraft that can comfortably maintain 105-115kts and at least 1.5hrs duration.
Comms will be via teamspeak and we'll be using 1200 (NOON) time and live weather unless it's really terrible
PLEASE POST YOUR AIRCRAFT CHOICES IN THIS THREAD TO AVOID BLUE GLIDERS - with a link if possible.

I know you like the P180, Alex. I have made some improvements for the cockpit....well I know it is not perfect but the cockpit works and looks better now.

I'll grab a Grob
If it is ok to bring an non-FGUK, then I would be in with a PC-9 from FGAddon (https://sourceforge.net/p/flightgear/fgaddon/HEAD/tree/trunk/Aircraft/PC-9M/).
Working on osm2city and Hunter for OPRF
We have a PC9

The FGUK variant seems to be based on an older version than the FGAddon: => Do I need to use an FGUK aircraft? And if so: why - what is the difference?

Just looked at that PC9 archive. Its a mess of 4 different aircraft. PC9, PC7, T6 and PC21
As long as you use the PC9M version, I think it will be seen by those with our PC9M, but im not entirely sure.
As long as you provide a link to whatever you want to fly, ideally by Saturday AM, then fly whatever you like if it fits the bill :)

Thanks Stuart!
I'm bringing a Davinci_Albatros D.Va - https://sites.google.com/view/fgukhangar/flightgear-uk-home-page/hangar/davinci-aircraft/warbirds/davinci_wwi_fighters
Depending on how high we fly it'll keep up. Barely.
VooDoo
I have done some photoscenery for the French-Belgium coast only.
I have been having problems with the UK route therefore (please us the FGUK PS for England)

Why is the bloody Lancaster Dam raid never ever done ?
I know Warty was experimenting with bouncing bomb physics et al, etc.
But just why ? Is it political ?
Porcy
Sorry for being 'in your face' but just a question.
I think its because the Lancaster was due some serious updates
I will use the FGUK PC-9M

I will be flying the at 17 https://sites.google.com/view/fgukhangar/flightgear-uk-home-page/hangar/davinci-aircraft/military-trainers/davinci_at-17
I see people have picked the pc-9m., but it's a turboprop ;)
Very observant of you Flash.
PC9 will need flaps down the whole flight.
Thanks for the ride. I normally fly fast fighter jets. But how beautiful isn't it to fly peacefully along, hear some jokes and get some sightseeing guidance! The first is definitively not my last participation. Thanks a lot.
