FlightNight 26th August 2023 - Bomber Boys
Hi All,
This week we're going to be taking a tour of the WWII bomber airfields of England.
Sadly most of them aren't in FG BUT if you have the Orthos then hopefully in most cases we'll be able to spot them
Start will be at 2000 London time at EGCN (Doncaster-Sheffield)
Then we'll head up to York, across to the East coast(ish) before heading South towards Linconshire and Norfolk/
Half way point will be Lakenheath (EGUL)
After which we will fly further south for more tours and excitement before we finish the evening at Marham (EGYM)
Fly any WWII bomber that would have operated from the area and everyone will be happy.
See you there.

Excellent choice VooDoo!
Well worth remembering that there are some good options for aircraft in the main FG hangar if anyone needs anything.
Helijah has the Halifax, Stirling and B24, all of which have had FGUK contributions in the past (and are credited of course)
They can be got from the FG GUI or from here:
There's also our Lancaster somewhere if someone can find a link?

Any idea of a relative speed we'll be traveling?
VooDoo
I have a question for you Stuart, why is the download speed so slow when you (or Oly) post orthos with onedrive, cause when you post with google drive the download speed is as it should be.
I dont post with one drive, only google.
I suspect its Microsoft being arsy with file sizes and limiting the transfer speed.
We pay for our google storage, so they appear to be ok with the file sizes
aha alr, thx
Yeah, OneDrive is free and convenient but fast it is not.
VooDoo
Is there a flightplan we could use?
Sorry no flightplan for this evening. On account of me being badly prepared
His Dog ate it, miss
It's ok we'll just follow you then ;)
