I actually got the project officially handed over by the originator who no longer wanted to maintain it. I've got all the source files he had, and a license for us to maintain it going forward. It's actually quite good and I've done some work on it but the problem is all the, very accurate, gauges are in 2D and so not quite compatible with the latest shaders.
I'll compile what we've got and stick it up somewhere for people to have a play. The FDM is excellent and I put a new electrical system in it IIRC which is almost perfectly accurate.
I contacted Gary Neely ("Buckaroo") before making a version for X-Plane and he said it would be GPL from then on. He also gave me a link to the source files. He said about you that "he might be worth contacting for possible coordination between Flightgear and X-Plane versions." Which (looking back at the email exchange) I said I would do - then never got round to it. Until now.
I redid the texture mapping and made some liveries for it:

We have it in storage for future development.

Looks excellent, I love the liveries.
