VooDoo, what do you doing on the Sylvester night? Do you go to the neighbors or some friends to make a bit of party? And what is with Chigaco...I can imagine there is a big nice Firework... : )
We was last year in Berlin (my Hometown) on Sylvester and had a party with some friends.
This year we stay here in this area. My daughter goes with here lover to a party. We are going to the Swiss and have a bit of party with a German couple. The couple is very funny...after a few of minutes we laugh together.
The couple makes a dance course and they want to teach us this new dance style... will see what happen. I have some Firework with it and yeah I like that.
But I can't drink much because I must drive with the car after party to home...staaay cleeean.... it's very expensive in the Swiss if the police stops you and tested that you have to much alcohol in the blood.
I asked because I'm interested and I thought you are also interested. You don't have to answer you can do want you want to do... : )
Many people in America party like animals on New Years Eve/St. Sylvester Day but I have never been one to participate. I worked as a professional musician for many years and New years Eve was always the biggest paying gig of the whole year.
We musicians used to call it "Amatuer Night" because people who rarely drink alcohol used it as an excuse to get roaring drunk and act like idiots. So most of us who were working that night stayed in a hotel close to the celebration site to avoid driving and being on the streets after the partying.
