FlightNight August 10th - Grand Canyon USA and Beyond Chopper Tour!
We'll meet at 8 pm London Time at ICAO: KGCN - Grand Canyon National Park Airport. Please bring the Helicopter of your choice from the FGUK Hangars that can attain/maintain 110 KIAS to altitudes of approx. 8000' for an hours duration.
Here's the file for scenery gathering but be aware that we will actually intercept very few of these points. In reality, we will depart KGCN and fly North to the Colorado River (which is in the bottom of the Grand Canyon) and proceed to follow the canyon North and East at about 900' AGL to our midpoint destination of ICAO: KPGA - Page Municipal Airport in Coconino Valley, Arizona, where we will land for refresh and refuel.
This is gonna be low and fast and twisty turny so pick your chopper accordingly. Remember that we are flying thru a window of sorts and if things get tight the only way to clear air is up. There will be no room to go around or dodge anything.
Afetr refresh we will fly directly to and overfly U96 and proceed to ICAO: KBDG - Blanding Municipal in Utah as our final destination.

As the site is Full this weekend ( currently only 2 pitches available ), and having to do an extra evening clean on the buildings which is taking 2 hours, I am unlikely to be flying ( unless by some miracle this lot of Surfers suddenly become tidy ). May be on coms though.
