Turbulence over London
I'm trying to plot a FlightNight Helicopter tour of The Thames and flying thru London . I about have it plotted but there is huge turbulence at all times everywhere I fly and no matter what weather scenario. Can someone else please fly London along the Thames and report back if it's FGFS or my Sim causing the extreme turbulence?
Thanks in Advance!

Just did EGLC to Battersea + Westminster: no problems.
I've just flown from Heathrow to London City and back with no issues. Not sure what can be causing your problems?
No idea. Crap...I guess I'll post the Flight and deal with it if I can't find it - weather scenarios make no difference nor does changing turbulence setting....prolly time for a new version. Maybe I'll try reinstalling the present Nightly Build if I can't find it but we are going into the holiday (Thanksgiving) and between new girlfriend and family I don't. Have. Time.

Have you tried it on 2024.1-rc2? There is an International Standard Atmosphere weather option that might stop it, I haven’t flown over the Thames or London in a while.. I used that on Sunday and that was a pleasant experience. (I can’t seem to download the Nightlys, server down I think).

I have International Standard Weather on the FGFS version I am now flying. Hasn't solved the issue no matter what weather scenario I choose. If I spawn anywhere else in the world I have issues or normal turbulence. If I spawn in the UK I keep getting tossed around like a rat no matter which aircraft I choose. Very Strange.

Edit: I lied. It happens no matter which aircraft of which location - it just takes a while to get started. I'm gonna try a reinstall - are the newest Nightly Builds a viable option or should I reinstall what I have?
I finally resolved all of my shadow and turbulence issues by completely uninstalling FGFS and then manually removed all remaining folders (being careful to maintain my Custom Scenery and Aircraft folder which are all stored on a separate drive!) and reinstalled and configured a previous Nightly Build of FGFS 4.0 from September of last year.
All of my issues have been resolved and I took the time to update graphics drivers and restart between uninstall and installation of a fresh copy which seems to have yielded higher frame rates than I was getting. For now. We'll see what happens on FlightNight but for now it has been well worth the purge and reinstall.
