FlightNight - 7th May - A nice excursion
Hi All,
This week we are employed moving the rich and beautiful people around the from Italy to the coast of France and Spain. Not only is this a far cry from our normal work it's going to require not only a shirt but also trousers and shoes on all pilots please.
Our routing will be picking up from the gorgeous Italian coast at
Albenga - Riviera Airport - LIMG
LFMN - Nice
LFMD - Cannes
LFTZ - Saint Tropez
LFML - Marseille
LFMT - Montpellier --BREAK POINT
Then on to:
LFMP - Perpignan
LEBL - Barcelona
Your required steed will be anything that can carry 4-10 passengers in total luxury, cruise will ideally be around 200kts. Think twins or bizjets as required. The only stipulation is you must post up your choice here no later than 24hrs before the start of the flight to allow everyone to get the downloads.
Should anyone be interested the inspiration for the starting airport here, and the scenery, came from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gix3RbPSUII
IF ANYONE IS ABLE TO HELP GET THE ORTHOS TOGETHER FOR THIS WEEK IT'D BE MUCH APPRECIATED, OLY IS OUT OF ACTION.

I shall be flying the Cessna 421 Golden Eagle ( well our development version of it ) but you can still see it by downloading the original :-

Will be on call, but if I can make it, I'll take the Aerostar (Patten's version). Download link: https://download850.mediafire.com/xvrxcubco7cg/x4j69icx9hsvkxn/Aerostar-700-28-05_2021.zip
Hope to see you all, splendid idea, Stu!

The FlightPlan looks to be about 360nm - optimistic to use most twin props? Here's my ride:

What speed are we doing? If it's not too slow I'll fly the PC12 from the fguk hangar: https://sites.google.com/view/fgukhangar/flightgear-uk/home/turbo-props/pilatus-pc12
In the meantime I will stock up on caviar and champagne for my guests ;)
Orthos and route file should be coming later. I think I've got the ortho generation process working.
Speed we're aiming for is 200kts so the suggested aircraft so far should be fine. The scenery on this one is spectacular.
I fly with the P180 Avanti.

I very strongly recommend getting them, it looks absolutely stunning.
The Live broadcast will not be on Twitch this week, it will be on FaceBook on the FGUK page.
Cessna 421 for me as well...but I refuse to wear pants and you can't make me.

Being setting up a new PC bought yesterday see how it performs tonight.
Here we go again, trawling all over the internet chasing down files to avoid GLIDERS.
I thought we have asked to not do this ? ????

Sorry for posting this late. I'll take the Aerostar (Patten's version). Download link: https://download850.mediafire.com/xvrxcubco7cg/x4j69icx9hsvkxn/Aerostar-700-28-05_2021.zip
If we ignore helicopters then the standard FGUK hangar currently has got sweet FA in it to allow for any sort of variety.
Till people start contributing towards development, unless we want to fly the same thing each week, there's not really much other option. The Fixed wing hangar is so very out of date.
