FlightNight for Oct. 14th - 3 of Voodoo's Favorite Airports!
We'll meet at 8 pm London time at ICAO: LOWI - Innsbruck airport in Austria. Please bring the chopper of your choice from the FGUK Hangars that can attain/maintain 130 KIAS at altitudes up to 12K' and climb at 900 FPM. From Innsbruck, we will follow the low path thru the passes and valleys South to LIDT: Trento-Mattarello Airport as our midpoint refresh and refuel point.
After refresh, we will climb high to 12K' and proceed West to ICAO: LSZA - Lugano Airport in Switzerland as our final destination.
Comms on TeamSpeak as always. Here's an autopilot file to gather scenery from:
These are some of my favorite places and scenery so please join me for some low and fast and high and sightseeing flying! CYA!

Any recommendations for one of those whirly bladed things for someone who can’t fly them?
Be a passenger or get lessons ?????
Practice a lot. The first half of this flight will be pretty difficult especially at the beginning - 1st 20 minutes of so. Lots of these are pretty easy to fly. I think the Bell 430 and BK117 are easy to make go.

@AndyB385 - I'm gonna turn up just for the giggles. I've witnessed your whirly bird escapades before. Hilarious.
As are mine, which is why I don't fly '
axes' sorry 'choppers'.Will still try to join TS for the banter though.

Alert! Heads Up! NavData/apt/LOWI.dat has an issue with Nightly Release of 2020.4.....crashes, weirds out airports and location.

Passenger is boring, crashing is far more fun... lol
Ta, I'll have a look - I am getting better with the spinny blade, right up until the frame rate dips and I start spiralling uncontrollably towards the hard stuff! (pardon the phrase)
"Weee aaah f*******"
Exactly, soon as you think you've got it - 'ah great, I'm off' aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh I'm dead. Bollocks.
Start again, repeat. Start again, get a bit further. Bollocks. And then you're so far behind you have to start at the mid-way point.
I spend more time trying to catch up and not crashing than actual flying in the group. Frame rates have a habit of dropping off at the most in-appropriate times as well, landing/take off etc.
I will have a go though because of the Brotherhood/banter aspect, but if I can't get going myself, I'll go passenger with Stu or VooDoo.
See ya tonight !
Low frame rates and lock ups are often fatal when flying choppers. Make sure your automatic scenery download is turned off before flight time and see if that helps.

I find the Gazelle easy to fly, I believe that might not be the same for others around here.
