Coms on TS as usual.
The MacRobertson Trophy Air Race (also known as the London to Melbourne Air Race) took place in October 1934 as part of the Melbourne Centenary celebrations. The race was devised by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Sir Harold Gengoult Smith, and the prize money of £15,000 was provided by Sir Macpherson Robertson, a wealthy Australian confectionery manufacturer, on the conditions that the race be named after his MacRobertson confectionery company, and that it was organised to be as safe as possible. A further condition was that a gold medal be awarded to each pilot who completed the course within 16 days.
Were not doing the whole race, we are doing the first leg of it.
Flight plan:
EGUN - start.
EGMD - mid point.
Following the coast to dover to 51.126889 , 1.311709
Turning to LFAC
LFAT, final destination.
Expected airspeed will be about 120kts.
You can fly anything you like from the FGUK hanger that can maintain that with a bit extra if we are running behind.

What a nice idea!
A few years ago I did something similar. Pilot Yellow made a flight around the world in a helicopter, a Robinson R66.
So I tried the same and flew from Germany via Egypt, India, China and Japan to Alaska, Canada Britain and back to Germany. In what FL will you fly?
Do you plan to fly the complete race?
My FlightGear will be lucky to complete the leg without giving up never mind the full race.
We wont be flying too high. No more than 5k I would think.
